In this matter, my client H Nene, was accused of being a serial killer and charged with 13 counts of Murder and 13 counts of robbery.

After a 4 year trial, my client was found not guilty on all charges, we subsequently sued the state for R20m for wrongful arrest and prosecution.

In the matter between:

FITSA vs THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA

In this matter, we interdicted the State to open the Gyms during lockdown until such time when the state can show in the Constitutional Court that violating the gyms right to trade and the Gyms client's rights of choice are justified.

The matter was set down for hearing on Wednesday 19 August 2020 on Tuesday 18 August 2020 the State agreed to open the Gyms.

On 2 February 2018, we brought an urgent interdict against the President of SA and the Premier of the Western Cape to declare the looming day zero water crisis a national disaster.

The matter was set down for 12 February 2018, on the 11th of February 2018, the state declared the water crisis a disaster, this enabled the Western Cape to effected deal with the crisis and beat day Zero.

In this matter, we brought an urgent application to open the Hairdressing, beauty, and cosmetology industry, which was banned from operating during the lockdown.

Our first application was dismissed on the grounds that we wrongly sued the Minister of health despite the fact that the Disaster Management Act clear made him the responsible party.

We then brought a second application that was set down for 2 July 2020, on 19 June 2020 the State uplifted the ban allow the industry to return to work.

We are currently preparing a civil claim for damages on behalf of the industry against the State.

In this matter, our client was wrongly convicted with two counts of robbery with aggravating circumstances and sentenced to 30 years imprisonment due to incompetent legal representation.

After wasting 7 in prison for a crime he did not commit we were approached to assist him, we then took the matter on Appeal and after two years of litigation managed to clear him of all charges.

We are now claiming R30 million in compensation from the state.

In this matter  we asked the High Court in Kimberly to make a declaratory order that;

1.That the applicant and its members have the right to freedom of association and its members have the right to use the language and to participate in the cultural life of their choice, but no one exercising these rights may do so in a manner inconsistent with any provision of the Bill of Rights.

 2.That the applicant and its members, belonging to a cultural, religious, or linguistic community may not be denied the right, with other members of its community to enjoy their culture, practice their religion and use their language; and to form, join and maintain cultural, religious and linguistic associations and other organs of civil society. That these rights may not be exercised in a manner inconsistent with any provision of the Bill of Rights.

 3.That the applicant and its members have the right to freedom of conscience, religion, thought belief, and opinion and the right to freedom from all forms of violence and not to be treated or punished in a cruel, inhuman, or degrading way.

 4.That the applicant and its members have the right as a whole to self-determination, as manifested in the Constitution.

The matter was set down for hearing on 20 November 2020, However, due to internal issues experienced by the applicant, the application was withdrawn.

The case has been described as the biggest tax fraud case in the history of South Africa.

In this matter, our client accused no 1 Mr. Van Staden, was charged with 184 counts of defrauding the South African Revenue Service (Sars) of R250 million and money laundering, several counts of fraud and reckless trading.

After a 3-year trial, my client was found not guilty on 175 charges and guilty on 11 charges. His Leave to Appeal was successful.
